Now in its third year, EN MASSE at Thompson Giroux presents a wide selection of contemporary work from over 40 artists--many who have shown there previously along with some new faces. This year’s guidelines allowed artists to exhibit work within an expanded range of sizes, giving the show a different look and feel than in previous years. As usual, the pieces in EN MASSE are all new—artists were encouraged to experiment, challenge themselves, and branch out, and the resulting work provides a fascinating look at where they might be heading next.

Experienced collectors may find pieces that expand or enhance their exploration of a favorite artist or theme, and the show is full of possibilities for new collectors with the variety of disciplines, subject matter, and media represented. Paintings, prints, drawings, collages, photographs and sculptures hang interspersed. This exhibition is ever-changing— as work is purchased it is replaced with another work of art.

This is a very exciting time at the gallery. At EN MASSE III more is more, and the smaller-scale work allows the artists and the gallery to reduce the cost of acquiring original art, creating a wonderful opportunity to bring more art into your home.
